Can I treat my child's cradle cap with oil?
Answered on 11th January 2016
Softening the scales on your baby’s head with either baby oil or a warmed olive oil, followed by a gentle brushing and shampoo, can improve the appearance of the scalp. Avoid using pure virgin oils and nut oils as these may cause sensitivities. Remember to wash off the oil with baby shampoo after brushing. However, there is no evidence that this reduces the amount of time your child may have cradle cap.
